Sunday September 13, 2009
Start: 13:00
End: 15:00

The annual FEDAGA Flower and Vegetable Show is one of the very few volunteer Allotment Shows still in existence. We need the public to support allotments and to show policy makers in Government and Local Councils that we have a supportive community of allotmenteers.
It does not matter if your produce is a bit knobbly. The point is to show the public that we produce locally grown healthy organic food, with no air miles and a limited carbon footprint. The bigger the show, the better the benefit to allotments in Edinburgh.

The programme is as follows:

Tuesday September 15, 2009
Start: 00:00

This is an opportunity to learn about basic skills such as planting seeds, compost , potting up plants etc. and ask about all aspects of gardening – no previous experience required.

We want to tailor this training day to your needs – there is an opportunity to request particular gardening skills training in the booking form – and we will do our best to provide this on the day.

Saturday September 19, 2009

End: 16:00

Come and find out about Scotland's first organic allotment site and its Community Health Project. Lots of activities for all, with a harvest theme. In conjunction with the Soil Association's Organic Food Festival.
