Does anyone know of a local farmer or stables with manure to sell? Our usual stables, Ravelrig, has become a victim of its own success, and has run out of well-rotted manure! It would be really useful if we could maintain a list of suppliers for each side of Edinburgh.

This happened last year
This happened last year as well which is a shame. Last year I ordered anyway and let it rot down over the summer to put on in the autumn.
I know some people at Bridgend have another supplier as well, I'll ask.

Thanks Andrew, that would be great. I've been doing the same- buying fresher manure and storing it. However some of our plot holders only want the well rotted variety.
Probably the biggest problem for any supplier is providing delivery, it's a long way to drive through the City with a load of manure!
So, having a list of suppliers throughout the Edinburgh area would be really useful.
Anyone else know of a farmer/stables willing to deliver?

A nice elderly lady with some horses. She like to have the bags emptied and returned at time of delivery.
I emailed those local stables that I could find contact details for around a week ago, no replies yet.
It would be very useful to have list of suppliers.

Hi Andrew, where are her stables? I wouldn't want to have to drag her half-way across Edinburgh, as I assume she delivers?!
