Foraging in Edinburgh

I'm looking for help in collating a map or guide to wild food and foraging sites in the city, particularly fruit trees in municipal spaces. It's frustrating every autumn to see fruiting trees on public land going unharvested while food prices are increasing and fruit is being transported from many miles away into local shops. If anyone can give me info about sites where fruit trees are found, or knows of any fruit going unharvested anywhere, I'd be very grateful. THIS IS NOT FOR MY OWN PERSONAL GAIN!!! What I'm hoping, ultimately, is to achieve something akin to the Abundance project in Sheffield - check it out at www.growsheffield.com/pages/groShefAbund.html - very inspiring! I already know about the plum trees opposite Kings Buildings, by the way. Seems no-one else does. Contact me at robert_i_ford@yahoo.co.uk

Secrets

I suppose the problem is that if anyone knows of a great plum tree or a hidden sloe then they tend to keep it to themselves. I hope you have had some responses as this sounds like an useful resource.
