BBC SCotland food growing outreach project

I work for BBC Scotland Outreach and we are trying to set up a filming project to do with growing food where we want to bring together a primary school and an immigrant group who are growing their own vegetables. The project will compliment TV programmes which are being produced by BBC Scotland Learning on the subject of food production, aimed at both primary and secondary pupils.

The idea behind the outreach project is that it will document the growing journey as well as the relationship between the school children and the immigrant group in their community. We will make films about the process and we will also work with the groups in using a camera so that the groups themselves can document the process.

Are there any FEDAGA members from ethnic minorities who might be interested in taking part? If so, please either email me on liz.leonard@bbc.co.uk or phone me on 0141 422 6445. It would be really helpful you could get back to me by 19th February if at all possible as we are planning to set this up to start filming in April.

Thanks

Liz Leonard
