We are a group of community gardeners who have been given a fairly large plot in Portobello and are currently in the process of creating a community garden there.

Given that the waiting list for allotments in Edinburgh is very long, we were wondering if maybe some of the people on the waiting list might be interested in getting involved in the community garden in the meantime?

We are only starting out with the garden but I think it will be a fantastic space for growing food but also as a social space for the community.

Please feel free to forward this email to anybody you think might be interested. We were wondering if you could let people from Portobello who are currently on the waiting list for an allotment know about this?
