border + Abuse

Hello,
What happends if your neighbour plants a tree on the border line and its growing inside your plot also but when you try to ask him to move it all i get is cheek and abuse? Im sick of when i go down and he's there i always get him picking at me, what should i do about this cause its realy putting me off having an allotment.

Problem neighbour
Hi Graeme,
What kind of tree is it? Tree planting isn't allowed now per the current Council rules (unless it is a fruit tree).
Does your site have a site representative or committee?
Check the notice board on your site for contact details and a copy of the rules. A quiet word in his ear from a committee member may be enough to persuade him to move it if it is a fruit tree.
Failing that, phone Ian Woolard, the Allotment Officer on 311 7072 and ask him to investigate- he has the authority to ask for it to be removed if it isn't a fruit tree.
Don't let his attitude spoil your enjoyment of your plot.
There is no need for him to be abusive, especially if he is in the wrong.
