Edinburgh In Bloom Garden Competition - 2010

The Edinburgh In Bloom Garden Competition 2010 has been launched. You can enter online here: http://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/internet/Council/Council_Business/Council_fo...
The deadline for entries is the 18th of June and the competition will be judged in July. The results of the allotment categories will be announced at the FEDAGA Allotment Show in September where the winners will receive their awards. They will also be invited to the Edinburgh In Bloom awards ceremony in December.
Edinburgh In Bloom is organised by the City of Edinburgh Council. The Allotment Site and Allotment Plot categories are again sponsored by FEDAGA, which is also sponsoring a new category: the Most Improved Allotment Site. Another new allotment category, the Waste Awareness Award, to be awarded to the allotment site showing the best approach to waste management (reduce, reuse and recycle) is sponsored by the Council.
Every FEDAGA-affiliated allotment site in Edinburgh is automatically entered in all three Allotment Site categories. Other smaller independent sites in Edinburgh can enter as well, if they wish. The Allotment Plot category is open to all. Applicants should use the online entry form, or get hold of one of the flyers that have been distributed to Site Representatives. These should also be available from the usual Council facilities, such as Libraries.
Further information is available from Edinburgh In Bloom at bloom@edinburgh.gov.uk or 0131 469 5196.
Good luck!
